These 2 changes could be crucial, especially the change to gcc 4.6.  Is
there anyway that you could try a mingw package using gcc 4.4 or 4.2?  I
know that both of these xcompiler versions work OK.  I'm not aware of
anyone using mythbuild.sh successfully with mingw/gcc-4.6.
