I did look into that board and had two issues with it. Firstly, it only has
stereo output (analog) rather than 5.1 output. I have a soundblaster
kicking around for which i can waste a PCI slot. But more importantly the
ethernet chipset on the board is Realtek RTL8211CL. I dont know if this
supported in linux at all. Googling did not give any useful links (eg
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=218098)

If i were to start afresh, what board and cpu will be a good option?
