How about all the 'tuner X is offline' on the status screen... when it
turns out 'tuner X' hasn't been installed for over a year and there is
no way to delete it as the backend that configured it has died (short of
mysql skills).

Look it all turns on whether you expect users to have basic mysql
skills. If you do, then none of this matters since it doesn't happen
often. If myth is supposed to 'just work' and be a self-contained
solution for audio / video then this needs addressing. In your copious
free time of course!

stuff snipped>

"Decommission" --such a wonderfully planned word. In my world the
background daemon that's supposed to send an email 'your system will
croak in one week, decommission now' never works for me!

Look the 'reset all settings to defaults' button is fine for me. It's
not perfect but it gets the job done without having folk learn mysql,
without having to plod through all the possible fields who knows what
developer might have set to a
no-longer-appropriate-breaks-things-in-a-weird-way-nobody-heard-of-before setting,
all the possible settings and puzzle through which are inapt because the
hardware changed. The only downside is that folk who show up will have
to go through a little frontend re-setup once in a blue moon and that's
no big deal.

I do appreciate your work, myth has been a fun hobby/project for me for
quite some time.
