[mythtv-users] Reasons why OSD doesn't fade away.

What are the reasons why the OSD won't fade away? I recently built a new
myth machine and it no longer fades (same old graphics card, fresh new
database). I have the osd fade option enabled in the "video playback" and I
have tried using opengl/vdpau/ffmpeg for playback. What else do I need?
