Thanks for the reply. In my previous post, I've gotten it narrowed down to
I have to exit the frontend, then restart the frontend before rebooting
which would line up with your recollection. In answer to your question, I
am exiting the Music plugin -> Exit and stop playing -> Go to Myth's Main
Menu -> Esc -> Do you Really Want to Exit MythTv? -> Yes, Exit and Reboot.
I can't say this is a "clean" exit, but it's done from within MyhtTV, so one
would think so. If I do this without first exiting MythTV, then
re-launching MythTV to reboot (remember, I just have a remote to work with),
all is gone.

The "funnny" thing is, if I Do the same so procedure, but select simply "Yes
, Exit Now" at the "Really Exit MythTV" question instead of "Yes, Exit and
Reboot" that is apparently a "clean" exit because I don't lose anything that
way.

Aren't the playlists saved to the database? It would seem that when you
save a playlist (either new or to existing), it should be written to the
database and that should be the end of it, regardless of how you exit the
frontend, no?
