[mythtv-users] export DEBUG_PULSE_AUDIO_ALSA_EMULATION=1 disabled in fedora .23-8 i686?

I've been using export DEBUG_PULSE_AUDIO_ALSA_EMULATION=1 for quite a
while to get mythTV to behave properly with Pulseaudio, this has
allowed me to output via spdif and also control the volume using my
remote. The lirc scripts call a pulseaudio volup or voldown command
as appropriate. It's meant I've only had to use one remote to totally
control the system.

However in rpmfusion fedora build .23-8 for i686 it suddenly seems to
have stopped working and indeed checking the logs reports....

AudioPulseUtil: Suspend Success
AudioPulseUtil: Resume Success

Has the export flag DEBUG_PULSE_AUDIO_ALSA_EMULATION been disabled for
some reason? Is there a different workaround?

Thanks in advance.
