[mythtv-users] Status of mythtv-rec branch (Ceton support)?

I know that Ceton support is expected in myth 0.25, but does anyone
know what the status is of the mythtv-rec branch (where Daniel is
working on Ceton support)? Is it functional enough that I can use it
with a Ceton to do recordings now?

And what about the rest of the code? I'm not sure how the branching
works...was it forked from trunk at some time in the past, or is it
kept synchronized with trunk (except for the branch-specific changes)?
If it was forked, does anyone know what the status it was in when it
was forked (ie: does it include a lot of other changes that were only
partially complete, and thus it is buggy and probably not suitable for
a production system, or was is based on pretty stable code, like the
0.24 release or something)


Also, now that I'm looking at git, what's the difference between the
dkristjansson/mythtv-rec branch and the mythtv-rec2 branch?
