Same problem here using mythweb 0.24_p20110219 with vlc-1.1.9 on Gentoo.
However, watching the same recording with vlc-0.9.8a on my wife's
Windows XP machine works fine.

Is this a problem caused by vlc?

Any help would be appreciated.
