For any channel, there are at least three variables that determine
which tuner can be used:

  1) CCI/5C
  2) Encryption
  3) Resolution

For unencrypted channels, I can record these with my HDHR, regardless
of CCI or resolution. For CCI copy freely channels, I can record
these (soon) with the HDHR Prime, or via firewire, or possibly via an
HDPVR (if I had one, which I don't). If they're SD channels I can
record them via my PVR150 and an SD STB. If they're HD channels, I
can still record them with the PVR150, but I need an HD STB to do the
down-scaling first.

Keeping track of which channels are in which states at which points in
time is almost a full time job at the moment, and I haven't even
mentioned maintaining the HDHR frequency/program id tables.
