Sorry.  I didn't mean to sound accusatory.

Many people aren't aware of this, as the collection of this tax is
largely unenforced.  I know that my own personal accounting isn't
rigorous enough to know what my actual out of state purchases for the
year were.  The state of New York made sure that I paid the use tax
when I bought a car in New Jersey, but neither state seems to be
tracking small purchases.  Now that I'm back in NJ again, I buy a lot
of stuff from New Egg guilt free because the tax issues are handled
for me.
