OK, glad to here you found what the problem was. The import is used when you
want to copy some tracks you ripped on another machine or bought online into
your music collection. It will use the filename format you have set to
create the correct directory and filenames and copy the tracks and cover
images to you music directory.
The problem with the missing tracks sounds like a bug I fixed back in
September were the tracks list wasn't updated after a scan, rip or import.
It was a bug introduced while making some changes in preparation for the
port to MythUI but I didn't think that bug went all the way back to
0.23-fixes but could be wrong. If it is that one restarting the frontend
should make any new tracks available. I'm sure 0.24 doesn't have that
problem though.
