I tend to agree with you; I suggest you do the following so that this
is resolved.
1. Could you update the Wiki to make it clear for other users setting
up the system what the likely causes are.
2. Suggest a change to the wording in the manual - which is not a wiki
page; I dont know who controls this
3. Raise an enhancement ticket on trac with alternative wording that
spells out the what the error could be caused by such as: Unable to
access location specified: /the/Path/specified/. Usual causes for this
are: case sensitivity of directory structures; the path must be spelt
exactly the same starting from root with capitilisation matching
exactly. or Mythtv permissions group doesnt have access to the
directory specified use chmod -R <path> and chown -R mythtv:mythtv
<path> commands to resolve.
