I have observed the same behaviour - VDPAU is simply unable to decode
the MPEG-2 stream on the "P.U.L.S.E" DVD's - IIRC, it resulted in a
very blocky picture followed by a crash, but this was back in pre-0.22
trunk. I transcoded to H.264 to avoid the issue and never got around
to chasing it up.
