Fair enough, but why start talking about recording "for a friend" then
and muddying up your point and the thread?  You certainly would not have
said "copying for private use is legal although speeding is illegal",
right?  Same thing.

Agreed.  My point was why muddy your point (and the discussion) by going
off in a tangent?

In any case, the issue is cleared up.  Further discussion would just be
the beating of a dead horse.
