I've noticed this since I upgraded to 0.24 as well and like you say it's not major, but it is a minor annoyance. 

I think I also see it in the case where I've been chase-playing a recording, which I do quite a lot, and I exit and try to delete it before it's finished recording.  Or if I press "d" to delete a recording without actually exiting playback I sometimes get a recording in use error. 

In all cases, just retrying usually works,  but it is a minor usability annoyance. 

So just a "me too" really - I see the same behaviour and it would be nice if it could be fixed.
