One more time, please don't top post in here.

You should be able to achieve your setup of 4+ tuners for cheaper than
you are planning. First your hardware is overkill and you can shave
some cost off of that. Second you should look at 1-2 Hauppauge HDPVRs
and then a single dual tuner HDHR (original, not prime). This would
allow you to record 1-2 channels from cable boxes and then an
additional 2 or more channels off of clear QAM on your cable (no cable
boxes required) or an antenna.

As far as the InfiniTV is concerned the HDHR-prime is going to give
you the same functionality but with one less tuner, and should be
supported by MythTV when it comes out, but once again your channels
would need to be copy freely which TWC generally doesn't do. By the
time the InfiniTV backorder is filled the HDHR-prime may be out as
well. You can wait and see what happens and possibly one of them it
at a later point (another pro to building your own, you can upgrade at
any point). Also, all of these tuners will work in MythTV or WMC, so
you can purchase them and try both if you really wanted to.
