Thanks for that, it works nicely

This doesn't work, nor does "export XCURSOR_SIZE=48". I'll try  
creating my own zoomed up cursor theme but I think I may be up against  
this:

OK: xdpyinfo | grep cursor
   largest cursor:    64x64
