Don't think its going to help you tuning issue, but you can pull the 
channel info from the database with:

/usr/bin/mysql -u mythtv -pmythtv mythconverg -e "select * from channel 
where chanid = 3494"

(presuming you never changed the mythtv database user and/or password).
