[mythtv-users] Channel number translation

How can I translate a channel number used in the BE log to one that is 
meaningful to me?

I am getting failed recordings in the log and I want to connect it to a 
channel to see if I can record anything from that channel. They are 
always on channel 3494 and that just does not relate to a real channel. 
I've been though the settings and the SD xml file and can connect the 5 
digit IDs to the real channel numbers but I can't see any 4 digit ones. 
Maybe that is the problem and 3494 doesn't exist? When I get this 
failure I poke through schedule recordings but of course the failed one 
is gone and so far there have not been any upcoming broadcasts of the 
same show. Maybe I need to start keeping a manual log of what is going 
to record on what channel???

This is 0.23 Mythbuntu 10.04 if that makes a difference. Yes I know, I
