This would be the best solution. I'm missing a working sleep timer in
MythTV anyway. The sleep timer which exists atm makes no sense to me. As
long as the frontend runs the the backend will not shut down. I don't
need a timer to stop watching a recording. It will end anyway at some
point. And for Live TV there is another setting for the idle time in
mythtv-setup (or was it in the settings of the frontend?).
Atm I use a little script to kill mythfrontend after 60 minutes and
assigned it to one button of my remote in irexec. This way the backend
can shutdown the PC if there are no other jobs or recordings pending.
