I have a 2250-based mythtv setup working mostly fine, except very occasionally I get a show recorded with the blue screen too.

It looks very much like there is a software bug that gets triggered occasionally when channel/input changing, possibly between analog and digital inputs. If I watch live TV and manually switch inputs and channels enough times like 1 in 20 times I'll get the same blue screen you're getting instead of a channel.

The reason I say it appears to be a software bug, is that its NOT consistently the same channel or tuner that gives me a blue screen. After a blue screen I can go tune something else then tune right back (using the same tuner and channel) and it will work fine the next time.

Before others suggest it, In the mythtv-setup tuner config yes I have already made sure that the settings are to open each tuner on demand (which is not the default) and to NOT grab EPG data (which is also not the default).

I have seen other 2250 owners report here similar findings too so its not just a limited problem, however the exact way it manifests itself on different systems does not appear to be consistent either.

Neil.
