My current favourite test videos for this stuff are (1) any 1080 rip
of a Top Gear episode, and (2) a 720p rip of the Star Trek (2010) movie.
The space shuttle sequence 38.5 minutes into the movie is a particularly
good test for smooth vs. jerky playback.

Cheers
