I've got a NVidia GT240 and been using the VGA connector for some time,
finally had the time to switch over to HDMI but appears there are some
problems.

I've running Mythdora 12.23.X86_64 kernel 2.6.32.26-175.fc12.x86_64

aplay -L doesn't seem to list any nvidia devices

but the cat is detected in /proc/asound/cards

 1 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfaffc000 irq 17

I thought I was running alsa 1.0.23 but it appears not

cat /proc/asound/version
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.21.

even though

sudo rpm -qa | grep alsa
alsa-utils-1.0.23-3.fc12.x86_64
alsa-lib-1.0.23-1.fc12.x86_64
