What do you see on the screen if you try to tune to one of these
channels in MythTV's "Live TV" mode?

Have you tried 100mbit and set to p2p? Thats what worked when I had that type of issue.
Yup.. when I tried this under Ubuntu 10.4 mythbackend would capture, seemingly regardless of the speed setting, although I had some signal problems. Now I have a much better signal but mythbackend simply won't capture the data.
Only thing I can think of is the newer libiec61883 is somehow incompatible with mythbackend.
