Not sure I understand. You are recording in 768x576 but your playback
is in a higher resolution and you want mythtv to stretch the picture
to fill your high resolution?

Why not playback at 768x576 and let the TV screen deal with it? My TV
is connected via s-video and allows me a resolution of 800x600 for the
GUI but I let it switch back to 768x576 on playback.
