OK, I get it, the reference to Intel was to the CPU in the "Ion" 
Atom/9400m, combo.

It would be really nice if some VDPAU-capable graphics cards were 
available with an AGP interface. I have many older machines that would 
suddenly become very useful if these were to be had, but I've never been 
able to find one.

You're quite right that standard PCI is very limited, though many VDPAU 
PCI cards seem to be available.
