there's an issue currently in configuring the device for digital
passthrough if you use a device name like hw:x,x or plughw:x,x

So if you have to use this type of device name, for the time being
disable DTS and AC3 passthrough... I am working on it.

As for your TV, I'm yet to see a TV accepting multi-channels PCM ;
usually it only works with stereo PCM and they don't support AC3 nor
DTS.
