[mythtv-users] FrontEnd keeps freezing

information regarding the hardware would be helpful.
start mythfrontend.

If using XvMC or VDPAU, make sure you have referred to the wiki pages and
tried the various procedures to stop issues; and you meet the minimum
requirements (VDPAU minimum graphics memory is 512MB - I used to use 256MB
and had a whole host of issues with OSD going missing and failing playback
and lockups; but since realising that I hadnt correct set to 512MB - I was
convinced I had done this in the bios - all works much better...)..
