[mythtv-users] Problem playing some 5.1 audio.

Most of my programming is standard ATSC, XVID, DVD or other sources which
play fine via my coaxial digial connection to my amp.

However whenever I play a handful of encoded videos (primarily MPEG-4 AAC I
think) that are 5.1 channel audio, I must first go change the "Max Audio
Channels" to 5.1 otherwise the sound is Sssslllllloooowww and deep toned...
like playing a record at a very low speed; and some audio seems to be
missing altogether.

If I leave it on 5.1 however, none of my standard material has any audio at
all.

My audio output device is just ALSA:default and my passthrough device is
ALSA:iec958:{ AES0 0x02 }, both AC3 and DTS is passed through to SPDIF, and
Aggressive sound card buffering is not enabled.  My Max Audio Channels is
normally just stereo, and my Upmix is Passive.  These settings work on 95%
of the videos we watch... just the few MP4 videos with AAC 5.1 channel audio
that require that I change max audio channels to 5.1.
