Ultimately you have to ask yourself do you REALLY want to watch any SD
content anymore? I know I don't. Except for a handful of obscure
channels I rarely if ever watch anyway my cable company offers
everything in HD. The HD-PVR will of course record all your
analog/digital/HD channels but I've gone through schedules direct and
disabled all the redundant non-HD ones.

Only reason you might want to keep the PVR-250 around is if you think
you need another tuner. If so you might want to think about an
HDHomerun instead. You don't get all the channels, but you can get all
the major broadcast channels in HD (I get those and SyFy in clear QAM
from my cable company). I've got the homerun set to a higher priority,
so that keeps the HD-PVR and all the extra channels available most of
the time because most of the stuff I watch is broadcast anyways.
