[mythtv-users] Is it reasonable to switch to 0.24 builds yet?

me too..

and it was the slowest..
The UK mirror has always been pretty fast too.
The French mythbuntu mirror (that I host) has a gigabit interface to
the internet... I think the UK one is the same

The issue is between the build of mythtv and mythplugins...
Mythplugins relies on mythtv to be build and installed to compile..
So unfortunately, it's a side effect.
I guess I could put in place a temporary repo to use for the build
instead of relying on my own.

But otherwise, the packages are built daily at 8AM GMT+1 (Paris time)
and it takes about 90 minutes all up to build (despite being a 2.8GHz
quad-core xeon with 8GB of RAM!).. If you don't update within that
period, it will be fine

I use the packages on a 9.10 install, and it works fine for me.
For earlier ubuntu, the upstart stuff didn't exist, I've put a hack so
you can still get packages for those platforms...

I guess the solution would be to upgrade to 10.04...
I can understand why people don't want to do that though. the same
reason my backend box is still running 9.10.
