[mythtv-users] Mythbuntu 10.04 update lost audio

I have just done as 'apt-get dist-upgrade' on my myth box and now I have no
sound.

I tried exiting the front end and adding a mixer applet but when I try to
use it I get 'GStreamer was unable to detect any sound devise...'.

alsamixer reports 'canot open mixer:no such file or directory'
