Are you sure the antenna you bought is large enough for where you are 
living?
Is it mounted high enough to get a useful signal?
Are you sure that you have the antenna pointed in the right direction? 
You may need an amplifier to boost the signal.
There is lots of information at antenna.web and at remotecentral.com if 
you haven't done any of this before.
