Whilst it's not an ideal comparison, my myth box is a dual core 4600+ (2.4
dual core, socket 939) with 3g of memory (4g really, but, well... you know.
:) ) with all the recording to a single 300G SATA drive (sd0)

This is only SD content. I have 1 tuner, with 5 virtual tuners off it, it's
not uncommon for me to be watching 1 and recording at the same time, and
occasionally, as I'm too lazy to exit live TV I can be watching 1 and
recording 2 (with 1 being the thing I'm watching, although myth may be
'clever' here, I dunno?)
I don't comflag (I'm in the UK), but auto transcode is set to transcode
stuff after a week.
