True and no I'm not certain. It could be an instability issue of some 
form with the card including heat. Mind you the system doesn't have to 
be up very long for this to happen. I've tried shifting slots and 
setting a variety of bus timing settings.

Per your thought, I'll dig out a fan and strap it on to the card and see 
if that offers any more stability. It is passively cooled so it is 
possible the GPU is heating up and becoming unstable.

I should note the issue happens ONLY when exiting the video back to the 
recorded tv menu. I wonder if it could also be issues with changing 
resolution.
