Yes, the MPEG encoders will encode RF input. I just spend a half hour tuning 
my PVR-500. Myth's default bit-rate is too low for decent output. I also had 
to turn up the brightness a bit after comparing the output to my HDHomeruns.

There are clearly *two* MPEG encoders -- I can make two recordings at the same 
time.
