[mythtv-users] Experiences of PCIe DVBS2 sat cards

I need another DVBS2 card for MythTV, ok maybe need isn't strictly the right word :-)

I'm completely out of PCI slots, I'm a little anti USB devices after nursing a Nova T 500 though it's little dramas and also having a headache with a friend's HVR950, I don't think there is a DVBS2 USB tuner with linux drivers anyway.

So the v4l-dvb wiki has the Mystique SaTiX-S2 Dual, the XpressVu PCIe Dual Tuner Card and the Linux4Media cineS2 DVB-S2 Twin Tuner now shown as supported where they were experimental not so long ago. I can order one or other of those easily but it would be good to know if anyone has any of these running smoothly in MythTV 0.22 with DVBS2?

There's also the TeVii S470 which seems to be almost identical to a Hauppauge HD-S2 but PCIe, maybe this is the safest bet but a dual tuner would be favourite.

I also remember some chat about a group buy of a Dutch dual DVBS2 card although I can't find the thread right now, did that ever happen?

I'm in the UK so don't need anything other than standard DVBS2, no US Turbo 8PSK whatever that is. I get 28E on a communal system with 4 feeds, also 19E & 13E on a single diseq switched feed, all are very strong signal, even in bad weather.

Any advice gratefully received.

Andre
