I have patched bluez directly and used the kitlaan ppa https://launchpad.net/~kitlaan/+archive/ppa I had an issue with the ppa and Ted fixed it quickly for me. Drop him a line or compile from source. Sorry, I dont know how you got to this stage and/or didnt see this problem. I am using 10.04 Lucid R
