[mythtv-users] Play Recordings, no EPG

When watching a previously recorded program, when I hit 'S' the guide does
not display.  Well, the screen kinda "flickers", and I can see vestiges of
the guide sort of "behind" the video, with the time flickering through every
second.

It works fine in live TV.  OCCASIONALLY  when watching recordings, it does
work fine also, but I have not been able to determine what the distinction
is.
