My understanding is you use the PayTV Set top box and plug it into a Analog TV capture cards, and use a IR blaster (http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/IR_Blaster) to control the PayTV Set top box

Light travels faster then sound, which is why some people appear bright, until you hear them speak
