  Let's have a look at the logs, which on my system are located at:
/var/log/mythtv, this directory contains mythbackend.log and
mythfrontend.log, look for files with that date from the last time that
you tried to start mythtv.  Some of the more obvious problems seem to
have helpful hints in the logs.  BTW I spent over 9 months trying to get
mythtv to work, that included a lot of thinking reading and googling as
I had v4l issues that cropped up without my knowing it.
