Yeah, don't get me going about flaky hardware... I ordered my first Revo from an online vendor, received it but it had a hardware issue with the RJ45 connector. I sent it back through their "expressRMA" service, it took over a month to get the replacement!

Now this one _might_ have a hardware issue but the online shop rejected my second RMA request with _NO_ explanations given. Real classy joint.
So before I contacted Acer for a possible warranty repair/replacement, I decided to experiment with different OSes and setups to completely confirm (or not) the flaky hardware.

Then, I started getting cases where the connection was not failing (Ubuntu 10.04 RC4, Xubuntu 9.10) so I decided to install Mythtv on top of that Xubuntu install.
Yesterday, I managed to watch live tv on it for about 3 hours without any disconnections.

Strange thing is, if I ssh onto the Revo from another box besides the Myth Master Backend, I get a connection lost within 10 minutes!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try that out tonight.
Daniel
