I would recommend the 9500 or 8600 over the 9400. The 9400 (and 8400,
8200) can not do Advanced 2x de-interlacer on HD material. I have used
three 8400 cards and two 9500 cards and I would definitely get a card
capable of doing Advanced 2x for 1080i material.
I have a 42" 1080P LCD and a 47" 1080P LCD and my MBE is connected to a
22" 1680x1050 LCD. 1080i material (mainly football games) looks much
better on the big LCD TVs with Advanced 2x. If I watch 1080i material on
my MBE on the 22" LCD it does not look nearly as good. I do not have a
card capable of Advanced 2x in the MBE and the difference is noticeable.
