...this is much more of a TV thing.

They decided to make everyone's old TV equipment obsolete. The main 
driver of getting something like an ION box is the fact that high 
resolution h264 video doesn't decode well (if at all) on something 
like an nv7000 based box.

Hopefully there won't be another "TV upgrade" soon.
