His house might be only one room, in which case he'll have four walls, but
"outside" is on the other side of *all* of them...

Still, even if that were the case, you could enclose your myth box in a
sound-proof box next to your TV (making it sound-proof *and* well-ventilated
is a trick, but not impossible).
