In a previous incarnation of my home theater, I had an automatically
rotating antenna setup. It was actually for a tivo, but I had a
webserver on the tivo indicating the recording channel, and a client on
another computer that polled the tivo every 30 seconds for the active
channel. It would rotate my antenna by sending the appropriate IR
command to a channelmaster IR antenna rotor. Since I began running
mythtv, I haven't had a need to rotate my antenna anymore (I moved), but
I still have all the IR codes and scripts I used previously, and with
mythtv you wouldn't need to use the polling method, as mythtv could be
configured to run an arbitrary command on channel change. If this stuff
would be useful to anyone, I'd be happy to pull out my old code.
