First of all to clarify for the OP, the videos in mythvideo are still
in the database and still have a seek table. They just aren't in the
"watch recordings" section of mythtv anymore. Here is a section in the
wiki that reiterates using mythcommflag like the above thread:
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MythVideo#Rebuild_seek_table. However if
you look just below that section where it is discussing importing
DVD's you will see that many people have problems using mythcommflag
to rebuild the seek table. Most people report that using mythtranscode
with the --buildindex option is more robust. However, it is my
understanding the mythtranscode should rebuild the index after doing
the commercial cutting transcode anyway. Perhaps there is a problem
with the initial transcode settings.
