OK, It's Sunday so it means it's my day to be the bad guy. If you
don't ALREADY KNOW HOW to *apply a patch*, then you need to stay far,
far, FAR away from trunk. Set up a .21 machine and wait for .22.

The wiki ALSO says:

"If you have patched the driver or myth for any further functionality,
or if you have a specific problem associated with the HD-PVR driver,
you can join #hdpvr on Freenode. Under no circumstances will support
in compiling mythtv be provided, nor will there be any walking through
of the steps outlined above. If you are not comfortable with
compilation, just hang in there! Better, stable support is coming
soon. "

So is it only considered necessary to follow the parts of the wiki
that get you what you *want*? Is it okay to ignore this part because
it doesn't make you happy?

Basic functionality works in trunk. A new ticket has been added to
track addition of new improvements. These improvements require
patches.

STAY AWAY FROM TRUNK.

Robert
