i'll definitely report my success back to this thread.  i appreciate
your comments and have actually passed your Mythtv Sound settings on
in several other threads. ;)

i did look for a setting in the BIOS and saw that you could toggle it
back and forth.  but i didn't give it a try.  i'll add that to the
list.
