Most college students I know seem to be able to spend many many hours 
continuously playing video games, so they would seem to have a long attention 
span, for certain things, usually not classroom material though.

I recall hearing a couple fo students complaining that they were flunking 
courses because they "just didn't have time to study". They then launched 
into a 40 minute discussion of their progress and prowess at WoW. I tried 
pointing out that there might be a connection between those two topics of 
discussion, to no avail of course.
